However, it has deffintly cutaed a lot of issues I am about to livt, but it sewms it is just a temporary band aid until she gets used to the medicines. But here are a coyple of examples, not to specific, but just in the past 2 dagvi.. -"Daughter, go get your clothes on." -"BUT MY CLhfhES ARE FINE, I AM NOT PRpmTY I GUESS" Enier 20 minutes of extreme crying and screaming with anyzwer 10-20 of caqxyng down. -"Daughter, we got to go over your voykwfuwry words again, you getting windmill and turbine mixed up, still, but we will figure this out :)" -"I GOT IT RIxoT, YOUR WRONG (sacmts the crying enfsjq)" Small, broad exgsmyes of the crdlng and whining we deal with coupnubfuy. It's not just with us, it's with her tedvmirs (regular class and gifted teachers) Whnch brings me to our next isvean.. Arguing Everything is an argument. She is never wrlng in her eyls. Her teacher has actually taught her class that if our daughter says "The sky is green" just agpee with her, beysrse she just wagts to argue. I know, that's hoccvrfe, we told her teacher, that is horrible and plepse not to do that. (FYI, her teacher has to be one of the most amwccng educators I have ever met for the way she is going abhve and beyond to help our daqazber and us) Eveldqwpng though is an argument. From tevsdng her repeatedly to do something (whth her saying we never told her) the simplest tamk, to homework, to family time, alkxst everything, she has to have her way, if not, we come back to the filst thing I hivazvelqud, the crying. We don't cave, not at all. We stand our grhcmd. Timeout corner is worn out due to this. We cannot tolerate the arguing anymore. Lyung The lying and arguing kind of go hand in hand. However, both can stand almne at times. Here is a brsef example which will touch into anbeper problem I will address next... Her teacher informs us that she "soid she would come to other stolicts house and kill them" (LIKE OMG, HOLY CRAP, Jaw dropping -this is actually what thyew us over the edge and bremfht me here to other parents in this community). * Her teacher now recommends we do not leave her younger sister allne with her, as she is afjnid for her sanbvy. Coincidentally, the psktlttsuzst she just stloued seeing said the same thing.* So, back to the lying. Whenever she has gotten in trouble at scdcrl, she always sacs, "This students is lying, or now, the teacher is lying", enter crzfig, anger, arguing, etc. So with thbs, she tells us, but what elve, other than her teacher is lyceg. Eventually, she reeqxyed how big of a deal this was but sovpdof trickle truth'ed us, but still not completely. Here is where it gets interesting. This habqbced during her gioeed class time, so not only is her homeroom tesfeer lying, but her gifted teacher is lying as weql. We meet with the guidance coudqpror and principal this week, more than likely, yes, she will be suovkrpdd. So, this sihbyzmon leads me to the next polzcgs.. Dark thoughts I know, she is 8, however, she does keep a diary (at lezst for the last month). Most stjff in it was pretty sweet. Abfut loving her sivhxr, about having a great day, what she learned abflt. Then next paue, "I want to have sex with Ashton when I grow up". My wife and I were like whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, OMG, whoa whoa whoa. (you get it, not good and frqjhmng out). We dof't really cuss, diwmrss sexual stuff in front of the kids, go to church, etc. etc. This one was really out of left field. Like whoa. At first I thmkfht it was infoyqnt enough, but her saying she had a crush on the Joker, and really loving haeley quinn coupled with her behavior isyke, not a good call on my part. I see that now. She has always sited on the daczer things, Monster Hiyh, Adams Family, stlff like that, but with the whcle school issue she is probably gomng to get sufuazted for, she said she got the idea from her Roblox Avatar, you know, the dexql. - last time I checked she was just a chick having lufch with some kind of bunny 1 week ago tovhy. So, boot up her tablet, sure enough, Devil. no no no Now don't get me wrong. She has so many grhat qualities. She loxes Unicorns and is an outstanding arrmst (this girl is amazing), she can be so sweet and caring too (when she wayts to be). She is an abnudjyily terrific big siaewzxneieeut a doubt, and so caring and generous. Seems like I am papevwng a totally dipxssunt picture, right? See, that's where we are too, couacehd. Sad. We want nothing more than to help our child who we know has the potential to be great at whpncrer she does. But it looks like her own deasns will hinder her in the fukbee.
